Hi I'm Savannah

I was born and raised in Utah, USA. I LOVE my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I played competitive volleyball for seven years and I love to be active. I think snowboarding is one of the best forms of recreation ever invented and I absolutely adore hiking in the beautiful nature God has given us. I'm in my third year of college and I'll be graduating in 7 short months to fulfill my dreams of being a registered nurse and traveling the world helping others. I recently returned home from serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Puebla, Mexico. I definitely came home con un corazon latina and a passion for Latin dancing and Mexican food.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is the most simple and straightforward way to be happy. The teachings of the gospel provide answers to some of life's most difficult questions. The times when I am struggling, I turn to the teachings of the prophets of old in the Holy Bible and in the Book of Mormon, as well as to the teachings of modern day prophets such as Thomas S. Monson. I know that God loves his children and he would not leave them alone in such a difficult time as this. He lives and speaks to us today!

How I live my faith

I love to teach others about the gospel because it strengthens my understanding of the things I believe. I believe that one of the best ways we can become more like the Savior is through service to others. Some of the most uplifting experiences I have had have been while serving others.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Savannah
Our Heavenly Father loves us very much and he knew that life on earth would be difficult so he sent us to families so that we could support, care for, and love one another. Some of life's deepest sorrows can arise from family members/situations, but on the flip-side much of life's greatest joys are found in the family. The organization of the family is divine and it is central to God's plan for us, that is why family is held so close to our hearts. Show more Show less
