Hi I'm Rob

I'm studying manufacturing engineering. I love soccer, beatboxing, and travelling the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I strive to live a well rounded live and love to try and participate in a little bit of everything. In addition to beatboxing for an acapella group and playing a couple intramural sports, I also thoroughly enjoy playing the guitar, swing dancing, and going fishing with my buddies. Although my major is manufacturing engineering technology, I also dedicate much of my time to studying Chinese and Spanish. Traveling abroad, speaking different languages, and diving into new cultures really lights me up, and after graduation I hope to spend a significant amount of time living and travelling abroad.

Why I am a Mormon

I honestly believe that our Heavenly Father does hear and answer our sincere prayers to Him. Although I grew up in the church, my family and leaders never wanted me to follow blindly. I was always encouraged to seek my own answers. I've asked God in humble prayer many times whether or not the Book of Mormon is true, whether or not Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and whether or not this is the restored Church of Jesus Christ, and I can testify that I have felt the Holy Ghost witness to me that all these things are true. I am confident that if they weren't true, God wouldn't deceive me. In addition to prayer, striving to follow the teachings of the prophets and obey the commandments has helped me develop self control and a real sense of confidence in myself.

How I live my faith

I'm currently have the assignment/opportunity of teaching the youth group every Sunday at church. These kids are all from ages 12 to 17 and already have such a deep understanding and strong personal testimonies of the Bible and Book of Mormon.
