Hi I'm Scott

I'm from Los Angeles. I graduated from Loyola Law School. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from law school and I'm studying to take the California Bar Exam in July 2013. I've been married for about 3 years and we have our first child, a daughter, on the way. I love to play the piano, organ, percussion, and sing. I also love composing music. I enjoy hiking and biking. I like paint-balling, laser-tag, and target practice. My favorite food is Indian cuisine.

Why I am a Mormon

While I studied the law in school, I learned a lot about individual rights and freedoms, the separation of church and state, and the law's approach to people's beliefs. Learning all these things has led me to better appreciate and understand my Savior, Jesus Christ. He blessed this nation's founding fathers to establish a government of liberty and justice for all. He has allowed us to set a system of government to keep us all safe and empowered to act for ourselves. He has blessed us so that we can think for ourselves and learn truth through careful study. I have been carefully studying our Savior's gospel my whole life, and I have prayed and fasted to know if it really is true. And I can attest that I have received answers to prayers and know that our Savior has established a church, whereby we can learn and do those things that lead to salvation and exaltation. And that church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I demonstrate my faith by attending church on Sundays and devoting two of those hours to supervising children ages 18 months - 3 years old. Sometimes I go to the church building other days of the week to assist with important projects and activities. I also offer service to those around me, even simple acts of service for people on the street. I also read in the scriptures every day, including the Old Testament and New Testament. Daily prayer has helped me to increase my faith and strength to do what is right. These ways all help me live my life the way the Savior wants me to.
