Hi I'm Jordan Stairs

I'm currently 18 years old, I am Mormon, and I'm preparing to serve a full-time mission in Tempe Arizona from July 2013-2015.

About Me

I graduated from Kennewick High Class of 2013!!! I love to dance and perform in front of big audiences. I'm a former color guard member of the Columbians drum corps, I can spin flag, rifle, and sabre. I hope to coach various color guards when I return form my mission in Arizona. I LOVE pictures and keeping hold of memories. I want to go to either BYU or CWU for music education and be in a college color guard.

Why I am a Mormon

In my youth I found myself in many troubling times by the time I was 14 and a freshmen in high school I was into drinking, smoking, and pornography. When I was turning 15 I decided that my life was going down the wrong path and God couldn't possibly be happy with me. So I looked all over to find a good church to attend to 'save' myself . One day at band camp I over heard some young women in my section talking cheerfully about an upcoming church event. I became interested in their conversation. After a while one of the girls brought me a Book of Mormon. And I read intently on a trip to Oregon. Then when I returned I asked to attend church with the other girl. After the church meeting I asked where I could find the missionaries. When I spotted them out I asked the sister missionaries how one can be baptized. I then took the lessons and was baptized in October 2010 and have never looked back l. Now I am preparing to Serve a full time mission in Tempe Arizona from July 2013- 2015.

How I live my faith

Now I'm preparing to serve admission by reading the scriptures and the perch my gospel daily. And live in constant prayer. I am ordained an Elder in the melchizedek priesthood I go to my church meetings and I am worthy to go to the temple and perform sacred ordnances.

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?
