Hi I'm Jake

I live in Pleasant View, Utah. I love sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm basically your average 18 year old kid. I love to play and watch sports, especially basketball (Go Golden State). I'm an Eagle Scout. I love skiing and boating. I just graduated high school, and after the mission I plan on going to BYU.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, lame I know. However, this does not mean that it has always been easy to stay a member of the church. I think that each and every one of us have to undergo our own personal conversion. For me personally, I love the hope and knowledge that this gospel brings. There are so many messages of happiness that we have that so many don't. That is why I'm serving a mission. To share the happiness of the gospel with others. Keeping all of the commandments associated with the church isn't always easy, but the blessings that I receive as I keep them make it all worth it. Also, we have prophets. It is so nice to know that God still loves us enough to give us a prophet on this earth to lead us. That really is why I am a Mormon. Because God has blessed me with so much, and keeping his commandments and serving in this church is how I can not only please God, but return to live with him some day.

How I live my faith

I have served in the Presidencies of my Aaronic Priesthood quorums. So basically I helped organize activities for the other boys my age. Right now I don't have a calling due to the fact that I'm leaving on the mission soon.
