Hi I'm Dain Lloyd

I grew up in Northeast Oregon in a rather large family of ten. I love being outdoors and being active. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love my family. They are a huge part of my life and a great source of help when I am struggling with daily trials. I enjoy being outside and any kind of physical activity. Tennis, Basketball, and Volleyball are currently what I enjoy most because I love seeing how hard work gives close to immediate improvement. I love learning new sports and activities and just new things in general. Because of this I went to a year of college just taking generals because I have yet to decide on a career. I know education is valuable and cherished my time there. Currently I am serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and will be departing to Ribeirao Preto as soon as it comes available.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this Church my whole life. Everything that is done in this Church is done with goodness in heart and to help lift and benefit others. Previous in my young life, I had had doubts about how it was possible that I was truly part of the only true church on Earth. It just seemed improbable to me that out of all the different sects of religion, I was in the one and only one that was restored throught Christ. But then I would think of important people in my life and also of how I feel when I obey the teachings of the LDS Church. I feel whole, I feel peace. I feel that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ would want me no where else at the moment. I know that this is Church is true through constant affirmations of the Holy Ghost to my own soul during personal prayer, bearing my own testimony, or listening to the testimony of others. I have felt its presence more than ever now that I am immersed in what I believe and I do not doubt that the path I have chosen in this life will lead me back to my Heavenly Father's presence as long as I continue to do the best I can and give all I have to being better. I would invite any persons who have even the smallest desire to learn more about the Church to do so. If they pursue after the truth with a sincere heart and fervent prayer to their Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ, they will receive a personal answer through the power of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I have recently begun my mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and am training in the Provo, Utah Missionary Training Center. My entire life right now is devoted to bettering myself so that I can in return, help others come unto Christ. I learn language for 3 to 4 hours a day depending on that day's schedule and the rest of the day is devoted to personal study, companionship study, or being instructed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Effiency is key here and everything that is done, even eating is sleeping, is to prepare me to be able to operate at full capacity. My reasons for serving this mission are set in stone and help me to keep my focus.
