Hi I'm Hannah

I'm from Sandy, Utah. I love reading, long walks, and music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education/Early Childhood Special Education. I have a great love for children, particularly those with disabilities. My hobbies include reading (I LOVE the Harry Potter series!), taking pictures, baking, playing Sudoku, running, and doing puzzles. I have a thirst to travel the world. I love learning new things. I enjoy studying and learning about how the universe and the things within it work. I used to shy away from science because I feared that it would hurt my testimony. However, as I have studied the workings of the universe and various areas of science, my testimony of God has increased. For me, science works as a testament to the works of God--I don't believe a world as intricate and divine as ours could result by chance alone! I love my family and friends. I hate goodbyes and love hellos. I believe that loving other people is the greatest thing we can do on this earth.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised in this church, and have always had a testimony of God's existence. However, my testimony of this gospel specifically has occurred more gradually overtime. When I was in ninth grade, I began taking seminary. Seminary is church classes held before school during the high school years of education. That year, we were studying the New Testament. Simply put, I loved it! I loved studying and learning about the life of Christ. The entire time I remember repeating to myself, "This happened. This really happened." I think it was then that I really began to gain my testimony of the Savior. The next year we studied the Book of Mormon. For me, the Book of Mormon and the Bible strengthen and supplement one another. I believe and love both books of scripture. I have chosen to be a member of the LDS church because it brings me a happiness and peace that I cannot find anywhere else. I have had questions answered through the Book of Mormon and I know it to be the true word of God. I know that President Thomas Monson speaks the word of God. I know that the temples truly are homes to the Savior. I know that Heavenly Father loves and cares about each of His children and I know that the Savior loves us more than we could ever imagine. The knowledge that I can be with my family forever is a true gift to me. This gospel means everything to me and I am so thankful to have it in my life.

How I live my faith

I try to get involved in my ward by reaching out to those around me. I learn the names of the people around me and attend my meetings. I live my faith by participating in church discussions during Sunday classes and offering to pray at the opening/close of meetings. I live my faith by trying to love others, in the way that the Savior does.
