About Me

Hi, my name is Edward, I was born in Australia and am of maori decent. I have five siblings with one brother and four sisters. I enjoy playing rugby and love watching it just as much. I love to go snorkelling and scuba diving.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have always been part of it. It has helped me in every part of my life my through education, wellbeing, and socially. The most thing that I am grateful for within this church is that it has reassured me that there is a God and that this God is our very loving and eternal father and that he is so loving of us, his children, he sent us his son Jesus Christ to make an atonement for us so that we may be cleanse from sin that we can live with him again. I know that the book of mormon is the word of God and that through this book I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and that we have a living prophet on the earth to day. Through this knowledge it tells me of my true identity that we are children of god and gives me the feeling of belonging. Through this I have felt his love and that he love each and every individual on the earth who has lived, who are living and who are still yet to live, and is the soul reason why I am a part of this church.

How I live my faith

As a young man (usually aged around 12-18) we organise the sacrement before church begins. This is just bread and water, but is of great importance as it represents the saviours body and blood which was shed for us that we can repent of our sins. This is the most important job a young man has within the church. We also have mutual (youth group) once a week. This is where we have activities that can build our spiritual strength, build strong lasting friendships, and prepare us to serve the lord on a mission and throughout all our life. Young men also go to Seminary every morning at 6:00 o'clock to learn more about the scriptures.
