Hi I'm Brenden Truman

I have grown up in Utah. I played basketball and baseball. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have grown up in the church my whole life in Southern Utah. I have always played basketball and baseball because those are my favorite hobbies. My high school team won the state championship in baseball my last two years of high school. I love to go camping, go four-wheeling, go skiing, and many other outdoor activities. I cherish my relationships with family and friends and enjoy spending time with them. I plan to go to college either to UVU or BYU when I get off of my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for many reasons but mostly for the peace of mind that it brings to my life. The gospel provides a way of living that brings me happiness through an emphasis on family and eternal principles. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true because I have felt Heavenly Fathers spirit many times and I know I cannot deny it. The Church brings Christ to the center of its teachings and I know that Jesus Christ is the son of God. I know that he atoned not only for everyones sins, but for everyones pains, anguishes, sicknesses, and remorse. It is very assuring to know that any pain I go through in my life has already been experienced to exactness by Jesus Christ when he went through the atonement process before he was crucified. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book and that it works hand in hand with the bible bearing another testament of Jesus Christ. I have read the Book of Mormon and have followed Moroni's promise and I know that it is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that he restored God's true church on the earth that is still here today. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of God that leads and directs our church today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying very hard to be a good example to those I know. I also try to serve others as often as I can. My ward has always been big into service and I have participated in many Eagle Scout projects including my own which was repairing a batting cage at my local little league field. I go and teach two families in my ward with my dad through the hometeaching program every month.
