Hi I'm Jacob Baker

I am a Missourian. I am an artist, a graphic designer, and a friend to the outcast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Jacob Baker is what they call me these days. Secondarily, I am currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design at College of the Ozarks. My primary goal is to be a disciple of Jesus Christ, and serve Him with my all: soon to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for all two years. After my triumphal return, I will finish out my degree, marry a beautiful daughter of God, and continue to reach towards fulfilling my ultimate purpose and mission in life. (pssst it's happiness!)

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, and I always knew the stories of the scriptures, but I wasn't really converted until I started a sincere study of the Book of Mormon. I knew it was true, but I wanted to KNOW. Bit by bit, small experience by small experience, tender mercy by tender mercy, my knowledge of truth grew from the seed my parents planted. I prayed many times, asking in faith, and the Holy Ghost confirmed that truth again and again. It was quite the cute little tree! As I continued to live my faith, it lived and naturally grew, helped along by all the efforts to grow it that I know were worked by the hand of the Master Gardner. Subtle fruits grew- blessings abounded! My life had trials and struggles, but oh how blessed it was! Is! Even now, I can look with the eye of gratitude and sincere intro/retrospection and see the harvest that is Christ's in my life, for the tree is His tree. My trunk of my testimony is in Jesus Christ, in His tree shines with the brightest light. I see that light in my heart, my soul, my mind, my smile, my interactions with others, my self-confidence, my success- it's all so evident! It's all so good, and clear, and visible. It is the only completed puzzle that fits the picture on the top of the box. It is simply true, and I will align myself with truth.

How I live my faith

Life is an ongoing process for me, as is living what gives life to my existence. I try to live my faith daily through sincere prayer, scripture study, service, and actively pursuing happiness in my own life and in the lives of others. My goal is to be a little bit better this day than the last day because I love my God; though Christ's grace, I am slowly making headway, all for God's glory. Because of the love I have for my Savior, I strive to be obedient to His commandments, because I know He loves me.
