Hi I'm Lisee

I grew up in Maryland. I like to sing, dance, decorate cakes, draw, and play the piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah, but I grew up in Maryland and claim Maryland as my home. I am one of seven children (two sisters and four brothers), I have a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law, and two nephews. I love my family very much and I love spending time with them. I love to sing and dance and play the piano, but not at the same time, that is a bit challenging. I taught myself how to decorate cakes, and I'm not too bad at it. I also love to draw and do puzzles. I have completed one semester of college. I am currently preparing to serve a Mission in Peru!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. The values and lessons I have learned growing up helped make me a person that I am proud of being. Growing up in the Church, I learned from a very young age that I am a Child of God and that He loves me, and has a plan for me. I made friends with people from church who made good choices and encouraged me to make good and righteous choices as well. When I turned 12, I started going to Young Womens (church youth group for girls ages 12-18), and every Sunday we would say the Young Women's Theme, the first line being "We are Daughters of our Heavenly Father, who loves us, and We love him" being reminded of this every week helped me know who I was and how I was special to my Heavenly Father, which was very important while I was trying to survive high school and figure out how I fit in, it kept me out of trouble. Heavenly Father loves and knows each of us, and wants the best for us. Sometimes its hard to remember that His way is the best way and the way that will make me truly happy, but He does, and when we follow Him, everything works out for the best in the end. I love the Gospel.

How I live my faith

When I go to Church on Sunday, I teach the little kids, ages 18 months to three years. We sing songs and learn about Jesus Christ, our Heavenly Father and His plan for us. During the week, I go to Church activities with the other Young Single Adults in my area. I serve and help the people around me, and try very hard to be nice to everyone (that one can be really hard some days).
