Hi I'm Madison Thompson

I am from St. George, Utah. I love to run. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I just graduated from high school and now plan to serve a mission for the LDS church. I love to run! I ran cross country and track as a Junior and Senior in highschool and now I am training to run my first marathon! I love reading and someday hope to study neuroscience or psychology at BYU. I also really want to be a wedding planner! :)

Why I am a Mormon

Because I have grown up in the church it was really important for me to make sure I knew for myself that this church was true. As I have read my scriptures and tried to keep the commandments my personal testimony of the truth of this gospel have grown in my heart. I cannot fully express to you the amount of support I have gained from my loving Father in Heaven when I have been alone or felt like I couldn't be strong or keep going. I know that He loves each and every one of us and knows us and who we are inside. He knows the things that disappoint us, He knows our hopes and our dreams, and He knows how to help us become our best selves and be the happiest we can be. I know that this is possible because we have an older brother, Jesus Christ, who came to this earth, walked a lonely path and died a humble death in order to help us get back to our Father and to receive eternal life. He showed us the way and I am so glad that I know that. This fact was one of the first things that truly touched my heart. As a twelve year old I was able to gain a testimony that He loves us and suffered for you and for me and I have not forgotten that nor will I ever. I know that this church was re-established by Joseph Smith through divine inspiration from God and that it is still true today. I am reminded of this at every turn. I feel happy when I choose the right and I know that someday I can return to live with my family and all those I love if I continue to follow this path and listen to His spirit.

How I live my faith

It gives my life so much purpose and joy to be involved in my religion! I have served in many capacities such as class presidencies and on youth councils. My two favorite opportunities to serve were Seminary Co-President and our pioneer trek youth council. These service opportunities taught me valuable things about being a good leader and helped me believe in myself more. I hope I have many callings in the future so I can continue to be involved in my faith!
