Hi I'm Laura

I'm a university student. I am an auntie. I love reading and listening to music. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I currently live at home with my parents. I am the youngest of four children. One is married in the temple with two kids, another is married to a none member and the third lives with her partner and child. I have three nieces and another one on the way. My extended family is a mixture of members, non members and less actives. My family is important to me even when there are disagreements amongst us. I love reading and listening to pop/punk/rock music. I am a vegetarian, I have been for three years. I love animals especially dogs. I have a pet husky called Jack. I love watching films and I go to the cinema about 5 times a month with my brother. I am a university student, studying education and mathematics as I want to be a secondary school maths teacher. I am going to be starting my third year in October 2013. I volunteer at a special needs sports club and I currently have a summer job sorting out mail in the evening.

Why I am a Mormon

I guess I am a Mormon because I have grown up in the church and its teachings and doctrines have become such a big part of my life that I can't imagine going a week, no a day, with out it. But as I have grown older I was able to develop my own testimony of the truth of the church. I know that I have a father in heaven who loves me and a brother who died and suffered so much pain, so that I could live with them and my family in heaven after I pass on from mortality. I know that Joseph Smith translated the brass plates and brought about the true church of Jesus Christ. I know and can testify of the power of the priesthood and the Holy Ghost. They are real and that I am able to call upon them whenever I need to. I know the church is true as well as all it teaching.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints all my life. My current calling within the church is a Sunday school teacher for 12-14 years old. I have been doing this calling since January 2013. Before this I was my ward YSA (young single adults) representative. I try my best to live to the best of my ability everyday, through the use of my faith and beliefs this goal can be accomplishment.
