Hi I'm Josh Issertell

I'm a missionary, I'm a lifeguard, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a Mormon! I was brought up in the church and love everything about it! I was that kid who wore a shirt that said "Kiss Me I'm Mormon" and thought it was the best thing ever! I have 4 younger siblings who made my home life so much fun! I know that families can be together forever and I love to see the temple. In high school I was on swim team and I also worked as a lifeguard but the best part of my job was teaching swim lessons! I like bike rides and anything outside really. I love being a missionary in the Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission and serving the people here. The Gospel has brought me and my family so much peace and happiness and I have seen it change lives as I have served.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this Church and I know that it is true, I have gained for myself a testimony of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have a testimony of the Atonement and the miracles that it can bring into peoples lives. I have no doubt in my mind that I am a Son of a loving Heavenly Father who had placed me on the Earth at this time, in this place, to be an instrument in his hands. I know that by living the gospel we can have eternal joy, and return to live with our Heavenly Father for time and all eternity. I also have a testimony of families and the power and joy that having a family can be in our lives. The family is the unit by which we are able to obtain eternal life and be successful in this life. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and was Restored by the Prophet Joseph Smith, and is another testament of Jesus Christ. It is the keystone of our religion, and without it the Gospel could not have been Restored to the Earth.

How I live my faith

The Gospel has always been a huge part of my life and all growing up I was never afraid to let people know that I was a Mormon and that it was something very important to me. When the age change for missionaries was announced I knew that I seriously needed to consider when I would serve a mission. As I prayed and asked if it was right and when the Lord answered my prayer and I was called to serve in the Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission. I have seen people turn their lives and hearts over to the Lord as I have served a mission. I know that having the Spirit with us at all times is a huge blessing and I strive to live worthy of having it at all times. I know that there is no other name given under heaven, save it be Jesus Christ, whereby man can be saved. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World and that if we come unto him we will have eternal life.
