Hi I'm Sam Slighting

I grew up in Utah. I play the piano. I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated high school. I like to play sports, especially soccer and basketball. I love to be with friends and family. I have three sisters. I play the piano and love music. I'm an Eagle Scout, and I still love to be outdoors and enjoy nature.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love what the Gospel of Jesus Christ provides me in my life. It provides me knowledge--knowing that I can someday live with my family for eternity. It provides me with comfort--the Holy Ghost reassures me that God is pleased with the life I am living as long as I obey His commandments. It provides me with peace--having my sins cleansed through the Atonement of my Savior, Jesus Christ. It provides me with pure joy--knowing that I can be raised above the filth and corruption of the world and knowing that I can someday become like God.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday because it allows me to escape the outside world and feel the comfort of the Holy Ghost. I am a missionary for The LDS Church to help bring people closer to Christ so they can feel the same peace, joy, and comfort that this church has given me in my life.

What is being a Mormon like?

Sam Slighting
I love being a Mormon. Some may think that the LDS church is strict or feel trapped by its guidelines, yet I love the freedom the Church provides me. I am happiest when I obey God's commandments and live my life in a way that is pleasing to God. I find joy and peace in life by knowing that the Gospel and the Atonement of Christ can raise me above the filth and corruption of the world. The aforementioned freedom and feeling of peace comes from being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and by recognizing my divine potential to someday become like God.
