Hi I'm Savannah

I grew up in Southern California. I LOVE to read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy reading and writing, and would like to be an English teacher someday. I also have fun doing things such as hiking, camping, and gardening. I think the world is beautiful, and love being out in nature. I relish singing, and playing the piano, and I collect musical instruments. I also take delight in learning new skills, and setting new goals, however messy or difficult they may be. One of my most recent goals is to always be able to find positive things about any give situation.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon. I love the feelings of peace, hope, and comfort that come from living the gospel of Christ to the fullest. I love the strength to deal with trials that I feel when I put my trust in Christ, and keep moving forward. In living this gospel, I have seen a difference in my life, and I know that it has helped me to not give up to despair and discouragement. I know that Jesus Christ lives, and that He lives for everyone, even me.

How I live my faith

For 51 weeks, I taught Christ-centered songs to about 80 children between the ages of 3-11. To be completely honest, I have never had SO much fun! Learning about our Savior, Jesus Christ with children is such an incredible experience. I'm not entirely sure who taught more: myself, or my 80 kids. All throughout my life, I have had incredible opportunities to participating in service to the community, and to others around me. I have a large family, but our service extended far beyond the walls of our home. Helping others and giving service to those who need it is a large part of how I live my faith in Christ. By saying "YES" to those who ask for my help, I feel like I am also saying "YES" to The Savior's call to follow Him.
