Hi I'm Cameron

I'm from Toowoomba Queensland. I work at a small fruit and vegetable shop. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

To me, there is nothing better than sitting down and listening to some classical music whilst reading an exciting novel. I enjoy learning Japanese by watching anime and to learn of the culture. I love to dance and exercise in the rain, to feel that cold, fresh feeling. I am constantly amazed by the wonders of science such as the composition and structural activity of matter, Astrophysics, Speculative physics, breakthroughs in the field of practiced science, and so on. I love my family and friends. I love to talk with them, laugh with them, spend time with them, etc. I love how every morning you can wake up and feel like you can do anything if you put your mind to it, how every day is a new opportunity and a chance to improve on what you were yesterday.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I have been raised in the church, I have always held a great curiosity for obtaining knowledge and understanding for those things that are spiritual in nature, things that cannot be explained by secular wisdom. Being raised in the church and having much taught in my youth pertaining to the Saviour and His gospel, the thought never really entered my mind of 'why' until I was a teenager. As I reflected on what had been taught to me, I often found myself thinking, "Why do I not have this inspiring, passionate testimony that others seem to have?". It was then I realised that I already had a testimony of Jesus Christ, I already knew for myself that the gospel was true. I had already chosen to follow His gospel and keep His commandments. I know that we can be forgiven of our past transgressions through the atonement of Jesus Christ. It brings me great comfort to know that. I know that as I follow those commitments that I have made to God that I can truly live in happiness. Although the journey through life is at often times difficult and there are always many trials that each of us must go through personally, God is always there. He loves each and everyone of us, even when we have to go through the very darkest parts of our lives, He will always be there. He knows our hearts and what our needs are, and for that I can not say the smallest part of how grateful I am.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a better person than I was yesterday. I constantly try to be a better son, brother, friend, employee, and so on. I have been called to many positions in my ward such as organist, prelude pianist, youth teacher, and many other teaching positions. Through and for these, I have participated in much study and work and have found the joy of diligently working therein. Outside of church activities, I try to let the Lord guide me in important decisions in my life. Just knowing He is there is comforting to me. I try to follow His example in my life as much as possible especially by being friendly to those I meet, whether it be in the street or at work. I know that He is always there directing me to take those steps which I need to take.
