Hi I'm Caden Damiano

I love making videos, rock climbing, and skiing. I'm Mormon.

About Me

Grew up in the church, wasn't always for it, but as I grew more mature I figured out that when we give ourselves to God and stop being selfish, living in the world and not of it, you see that having the spirit and the gospel in your life gives you a sense of peace and purpose and full use of free will. My hobbies include rockclimbing, martial arts, film making, writing, as well as staying in shape mentally, physically and spiritually. As well as sharing this gospel messege to all that will act upon it. I am currently serving in Southern California for my full time mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, my father served a full time mission, my mom almost did, till she met my Dad. I was baptized when I was 8 and went to church nearly every Sunday of my life. Their where times when I wanted to be a missionary, times I wanted to leave the church, times when I envied my non Mormon friends and the stuff they got to do on Sundays when I was stuck at church. It kind of let's me know that just because you where born in the church doesn't mean you get brainwashed. As I got older I lived trying to impress people by worldy standards and avoided talking about my birth given faith out of embarrassment. I attended all 4 years of Lds seminary, scripture study classes for high school members, but I have to be honest I skipped over 25%+ of that class! I was so stubborn to not live the faith I felt like was being pushed to me I became a real punk. Well when it came to the time that I needed to decide to serve a full time mission, I wasn't really sure I wanted to go, and I guess the Lords timing prevailed because i had to make up for all those hours I missed of seminary doing personal scripture study. This was the first time I read through the Book of Mormon with a serious desire to learn. The words of the inspired writings softened my heart, enlightened my mind, and opened my eyes to the gospel light I refused to fully embrace my entire life. Words cannot describe how glad I am for this church. To be raised in a Lds family and learn the true meaning of life

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying as much as possible, and reading my scriptures with the intent to find answers in my life. I find it essential as a good member and person to be an example to everyone around me by representing the church doctrine and ethics taught in the scriptures. I also realize that the people around me and I are not perfect and must be patient and understanding with others. I am also living my faith by serving a full time mission and sharing this ultimate happiness with everyone.
