Hi I'm Kaylee Bauer

I was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. I am a student at Utah State and preparing for an LDS mission.

About Me

I am the youngest of 5 children. I am a college student currently in my second year. I am majoring in Graphic Design. I studied abroad in Switzerland with my program for a month with 40 other students and loved every minute of it. I enjoy designing. I love summer. I have been raised to love being on the lake. My family takes a trip to Flaming Gorge and Lake Powell with our boat every chance we get. I play the piano, my mom taught me since I was 8 years old. I've always wanted to play the guitar and hope to learn in the near future. I recently got my mission call to serve in Kentucky and leave in August. I have been raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and couldn't be more grateful for the church in my life. I would be lost without it. I love my savior Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon for so many reasons. One being the happiness the Gospel brings. Our loving Heavenly Father has so many blessings in store for us and is just waiting for us to follow Christ's example so that he can pour those blessings upon us. I know that He loves and knows each of us. I know that he suffered for our sins on the cross so that we can be forgiven of our sins and one day live with him again. I know that the prophet Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon and that it is the word of God. Joseph Smith restored the true church on this earth and the truth continues to be taught through our living prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. I can testify that by living God's commandments, we will be blessed. It is the only way to feel the pure joy and happiness that comes from the love that God has for every single one of his children. We are all children of God. I know these things to be true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending the LDS, or Mormon church every week. I teach the 6 year olds in Primary with my mom, which includes preparing a lesson for every other Sunday. I attend the Temple regularly to participate in sacred ordinances and do temple work for those who didn't have the opportunity before they passed on from this life. I am currently preparing to serve a full time mission in Louisville Kentucky. I leave August of 2013. As part of preparing for my mission, I have made it a goal to read the Book of Mormon before entering the Missionary Training Center. By doing this, I will gain a stronger testimony of it and better understand the teachings of Jesus Christ so that I will be able to share the message that the Book of Mormon offers.
