Hi I'm Akhona

I grew up in South Africa, Port Elizabeth and a convert to the church, Guess what..... I am a Mormorn

About Me

I am currently serving a full time mission at Liberia Monrovia mission in West Africa, I love making new friends and thankfully I am making a lot of friends around here at West Africa, not only friends but rather brothers and sisters. I love cycling, working out and just being active for the benefit of my health. before coming on mission, I was just a year in College doing IT. I amazingly worked with a lot of people around here in Liberia who need my help as a disciple of Jesus Christ and boy these people have been truly prepared. Guess what .... I am a Mormon ;)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I took time to desire for the truth and that has led me to serve a mission, I know how it is to receive the gospel in my life and how it can bless and change someones life, and that is exactly why I am here.

How I live my faith

I literally help the branches here with all that I can, so that one day there will be a Stake here at Liberia.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Akhona
God our Heavenly Father has a body of tangible flesh and blood just like us, we used to live with him before and we knew him, his body is glorified and therefore lives in Heaven, He loves us so much and he constantly talks to us through the power of the Holy ghost. His plan is for us to once again live him in Heaven again. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Akhona
Joseph Smith was called by God as a Prophet just like any other Prophet in the olden times, we acknowledge him because of the great work he did, but we do not worship him. We will forever worship God our Heavenly Father and his beloved son Jesus Christ who died for us and that through him, we will have eternal life. Show more Show less
