Hi I'm Jayce

I grew up in Gilbert, AZ. I am 19 and I am living the dream on a 2 year mission to Indianapolis, Indiana. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports, hanging out with my friends, having adventures and living life! I love taking pictures and making memories everywhere I go. I have a bucket list of 130 dreams (and counting) of things I want to do before I die and am currently done with 20 of them! I love dreaming big and my bucket list always helped me to do this as well as helping me actually accomplish my dreams! I love my family and how supportive they have been in the choices I have made in my life! My friends are my heroes! I have 9 guys I consider to be not just my best friends, but my brothers. We have done all kinds of crazy things from learning to water skiing and wakeboard (and laughing when we failed), to burying treasure chests on top of mountains, to jumping off cliffs, to making home made music videos, to asking girls out to Proms by singing Taylor Swift remakes in suits and bow ties while in an old '64 VW bus, to trying to jump start a boat by driving a truck halfway submerged in lake water so we could reach the jumper cables to it! Needless to say, WE LOVE LIFE, and all the adventures it holds.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this church is true. I love this church with all my heart! It has been a long support system to me when it seemed I had nothing to lean on. Belief in this church keeps me going. I love the gospel principals it teaches me and how I can learn to be like Christ through it. I am not perfect and that is okay! I have hope because of the hope that this church gives me! I am so glad for the chance to share it with the world on my mission! It is the truth, and I am so glad to be apart of it!

How I live my faith

Right now, I have been called to serve as a missionary for this church in the Indiana Indianapolis Mission from July 2013-July 2015. It has been an extraordinary journey to get here. I have been waiting my whole life to have the chance to go and serve a mission. From the moment I opened my call it all seemed surreal that this was finally happening to me. I have 9 guys that I consider to be more than best friends to me, we are family. Of these 9 guys, 7 of them are Mormon. They have been better examples to me than I could have ever hoped. They have given me a personal example and helped me gain a stronger testimony that I know this church is true. They have supported me throughout my whole preparing for a mission process and I am forever thankful to them for that! 4 of them currently are out serving the Lord in New Zealand, Peru, California, and New York. Two of the remaining three are set to turn their papers in July 2013 and the last was baptized September 2012 so he has to wait until this September before he can turn his papers in but plans to do so as soon as possible. My two non-Mormon friends have been nothing but supportive and so pumped that I get the chance to get out there and serve the people of Indiana and live my dream! Going on a mission was the 20th item I got to cross of my bucket list and has by far been the hardest to do.. but I know it will be the best decision I have made in my life up until this point. THIS WORKING IS CHANGING THE WORLD!!! And I am so grateful and humbled that the Lord trust me to be a part of it.
