Hi I'm Andrew

I live in a small farm town. I love to play guitar. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play basketball, baseball, football, frisbee, guitar and sing. Music is a passion of mine. It is something I'm pretty good at, but wish I was better. My favorite colors are blue, orange, and pink. I like to stand out by wearing bright colors like neon green. I just finished my first year of college and I am waiting for my mission call.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. When I turned 12 I decided to stop going to church with my family. I tried to live without the church for the next six years. When I was 18 I suffered from depression. I had an emotional breakdown and began to pray everyday. Something told me I needed to go back to church. I did. Things began to get better every week. The people were so nice to me and made me feel welcome. As I kept attending, a distant cousin came home from his mission and reported in church about it. He told us of all the work he did and said that this church was true. When he said that I had an gentle but firm feeling of joy and happiness flood over me and I knew at that moment everything he was saying was true. From that day on I have tried my best to live the laws that have been given. By doing so I have learned the importance of every law given. This is the true church. I know without a doubt that my Father in Heaven loves me and wants me to be happy. Joseph Smith is a true prophet and he did translate the Book of Mormon with help from God. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. He did atone for our sins so that we could return to our Heavenly Father. I know that every trial and hardship in my life is a blessing in disguise to help me learn and grow. I love this Gospel and I love this church. I love my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ. This is the place to be.

How I live my faith

My favorite thing to do that my faith has taught me, is to serve others. Every opportunity I get, I serve. It may be helping a friend do some chores or helping an old couple move. The joy it brings me is incredible. I visit a more mature couple once a month. The husband suffered a stroke a few years ago and is still recovering. I help him with whatever he needs help with.
