Hi I'm Dallin

Lived and raised in Utah. I am a woodworker and soccer player. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Dallin, and I am just out of High School. I graduated this spring also with a college degree from UVU. I love to play soccer with friends and family, go to BYU football games, and do anything adventurous outdoors. Woodworking is a hobby of mine, and I frequently will spend hours on a new project all the time. I enjoy helping backstage with plays, and am getting pretty good a designing the background sets for the actors. I love to spend time with my three brothers and little sister. My oldest brother is currently in Mexico City, and loving it there. I have a wonderful girlfriend named Rachel. Most of all I love to go on vacations and spend endless hours with my family just hanging out and seeing somewhere new and doing new things with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with parents who have chosen to be members of the LDS Church. I decided to follow the gospel very young, and have stuck to that decision ever since. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is the true church, and that we are lead by prophets that lead us through the inspiration and guidance of Jesus and The Father. The Book of Mormon is true. Read it prayerfully and you will find the same answer I did. I know that this gospel brings me happiness and peace that I have not found anywhere else on earth. The knowledge that I am being lead by a living Prophet gives me hope for the future, and gives me peace in this hard world.

How I live my faith

During my teen years, I have been put in charge of several youth groups. I have enjoyed spending so much time leading and being with my peers. Usually I help organize and plan weekly meetings and camps that we would do every year. Every meeting and camp always had a spiritual lesson or talk at the end, and being in a group of teens and listening to a gospel message is way more powerful than anywhere else. I also would regularly visit an elderly couple in their home and present a message to them and talk to them about how they were. They are such amazing people, and I have learned so much from them. I am sure that they have taught me much more than I can ever dream of teaching them.

What is faith?

Faith is believing in something so much that we act on this thing that we believe in. Faith can be seen in so many different things in our own lives, and is constantly mentioned in the Bible and Book of Mormon. After someone gains a belief in something, they must then act on this belief to see if it is truly of God or not. By exercising this faith, anyone can know if something is true or not.
