Hi I'm Ashley Rawlins

I love to help others, I love music, I love my Savior, I'm a missionary, I'm a Texan, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am serving in the Idaho Pocatello Mission. I love my Savior and all that he has done for me! I am also a student at BYU-Idaho. I hope to be a nurse or child psychologist. I love to be around children and to be creative. I love to spend time with my family and will even miss out on football games just to spend time with my dad. I love to make people laugh and I am very out going and bubbly. I love to sing, dance, and paint. I love to be outside and work out. Music is my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love this gospel. It has given me the strength I needed for many years. The gospel brings me happiness and knowledge that my family can be together forever. Without this gospel I wouldn't be who I am today. I know that this church is true and that God loves us and knows us all personally. I know that through the atonement of Jesus Christ all man may be saved as long as they endure to the end and follow the will of God. I know that the scriptures are true and that I can do anything through Christ. He makes all things possible and if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have the chance to go on my mission to serve the Lord and bring others to know of the truth of the Gospel as I know it to be true.

How I live my faith

In my faith I try my best to involve the members around me and make sure that they have everything they need. I often serve others by listening to members, making dinner if they need it, participate in service projects, and attend all of my church meetings. I serve the lord by going on a mission and preaching the gospel where ever he may need me. I love to bear my testimony and share the Book of Mormon to those around me and share the love of God by showing love to all. I love to testify about the Book of Mormon because it has impacted my life and I want others to know of Gods love by sharing what I know to be true.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Ashley Rawlins
Women don't hold the priesthood because the Lord has designed certain roles for both males and females. The men need the priesthood to bless families and to serve those around them. Women are there to support their husband and help the men honor their priesthood. The men are not the priesthood though, it is only a tool to help others. It is there to bless families. As women we are highly favored. we hold high positions in the church and are respected as Daughters of God. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about family?

Ashley Rawlins
Families are the center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. We believe that Families can be forever as long as we are doing all that God requires of us. We have a blessing given to us that after this life we will still be united as a family as long as we are sealed in the temple which means that we will never have to say goodbye. In the scriptures it tells us that whatsoever is sealed on earth is sealed in heaven. That is why we have temples, so that our families can be bound and sealed together. Show more Show less
