Hi I'm Lowell Brown

I grew up in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. I'm an Eagle Scout, I play guitar and play video games and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Lake Havasu City, Arizona a nice little HOT! spot on the map. I love movies and want to go to school for to become a sound engineer. I am now serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Illinois, Chicago West Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon, but not until I was about 16 did I really know that this is Jesus Christs true church. I was on a camp out with my scout troop in Utah, on the outing our leaders asked us to read from The Book of Mormon, and to follow the example that Joseph Smith set for us and the promise that is found in The Book of Mormon. That promise says that if we read The Book of Mormon and pray to God and ask him if this is true, the spirit will testify of the truthfulness of this message. I followed that counsel and read a chapter or two. I then found a spot to pray as I did i didn't receive any answer. Later that night as I was preparing to go to bed, I went into my tent and prayed again, as I did it felt like I had solved a really hard math problem, everything fell into place, I felt the spirit testify to me that this is the Lords church upon the Earth! It fills me this so much joy to know that my Father in Heaven loves me and answers my prayers.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to help people that I meet. We all can benefit from a smile and a helping hand. Before I left on my mission I got to work with the 14-16 year old young men in my ward, helping them with Boy Scout activities and camp outs. It was awesome to help the young men develop the attributes that will help them be strong men and leaders in the near future.
