Hi I'm Cody Smith

I love sports. I enjoy being outdoors. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to be outdoors. I really enjoy the sun and the beach. I am content to sit on the beach for hours watching the waves and the sunset, or to go out and play in the waves as well. I could sit and watch sports all day. I appreciate all sports, but mainly enjoy football, basketball, and auto-racing. I have a passion for speed and cars. I grew up around cars and work with them on a daily basis. I recently graduated from high school and now I am serving a mission in the Mexico, Cuernavaca mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is the right choice. I was born into a family who were already members of the church. I have always know the church was true as a kid based off of the examples of my parents and older brothers. As I got older I had to come to know the truth for myself. I was able to know of the truth from trials and events that took place in my life. If I ever was in need of comfort or strength, I knew that I could pray to Heavenly Father or read my scriptures for the answers I needed. I am grateful to be a member of this church and to have a living prophet on earth today. I am able to listen to the words the prophet gives us and to follow his counsel and guidance. I know that when the prophet speaks he is telling us what Heavenly Father has told him. I am a Mormon, and I want to share this gospel to everyone else so that they may be able to come to the knowledge of the truth, and become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

Growing up in the church has blessed me with opportunities to serve and help others. As a teenager I have help many callings of leadership and service. I was president of our group of young men and helped to plan and lead weekly activities for the youth to participate in. I enjoyed being able to plan these activities and to watch as the youth were able to have a fun time and to get to know one another. Throughout my years as a youth in the church i have been able to home teach members of the ward. I love to be able to visit with them and hear about their lives and families. It is great to be able to teach them about the gospel and to be their friend.
