Hi I'm Christine

I'm a Mormon

About Me

Being a wife, mom, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and retired school teacher makes for an interesting combination! The different peoples of the earth fascinate me. I love to learn about their culture, religion, countries, and everything else I can find. I also love the beautiful surroundings the LORD has provided for our enjoyment. Weather permitting, I like to be outside as much as possible beginning and ending my day outdoors on our deck. Gardening is a pure joy. I feel most at home when I am working in the dirt and tending flowers and plants. Comfortable dress for me is a pair of jeans and a t-shirt!

Why I am a Mormon

In my young adulthood, I became aware that I could be living a life of much higher standards and spirituality. Through a friend and then my future husband, I was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. With the introduction of each gospel principle, I recognized its validity and benefit for both myself and others. I became aware of the influence of the HOLY GHOST in our daily thoughts and actions. My heart and mind experienced much joy.

How I live my faith

Among the many ways to serve in church circles as well as the community, my current calling finds my husband and I as Cub Scout Bear Den Leaders. As we work with the scouts and help them develop firm character traits and practical knowledge and skills, we are assured that there are no worries regarding the future generation! They are awesome! I strive to live up to my motto "Service Before Self". Each and every day there are individuals who need our help, love, support, and encouragement. Our first thought each day should be what can I do to give GOD greater glory today and secondly who will I be able to serve this day.
