Hi I'm Drew

I am from Tucson Arizona. I love playing sports, riding dirt bikes, paintballing and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Drew. I am 20 years old. Ever since I was young I have always loved to play sports. Through High School I played basketball. I love doing things that get my adrenaline going.. For example I love riding dirt bikes, paintballing, and shooting guns. I've also been scuba diving and bungee jumping. I come from a family of six, with an older brother and 2 younger sisters. My older brother served a mission in Kenya Africa and my dad served a mission in Panama. Both of my sisters are planning on serving missions as well. One of the closest examples of the Savior that I have had in my life would be my mom. My mom has always turned outwards and focused on those around her rather then herself. If there is something that I want people to know about me though, it is that I have a strong testimony that God lives and that Jesus is our Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because through scripture study, prayer, and personal experiences I have come to know that this church is not the church of Mormons or the Church of Joseph Smith, but it is the Church of Jesus Christ in these last days. The authority and power that Christ gave his apostles to help organize and guide his church was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know that anyone can come to know that these things are true through scripture study, prayer, and personal experiences.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to be an example and leader to those around me. I know that more important then what I can say is what I do. I am currently serving a mission in North Carolina.

What is the priesthood?

Drew
Priesthood is the authority and what gives someone the ability to act in Christs name. For example baptizing, and healing the sick can only be done by someone who holds the authority of Jesus Christ. That authority was lost after the death of Jesus Christ and the Apostles, but because God loves us and because God is the same yesterday, today, and forever He has again called a Prophet who was given that Priesthood authority by three of Christs original Apostles. (Peter, James, and John) Scripture references: Mathew 10:1 Mathew 16:19 (these Keys are Critical) John 15:16 (not just anyone can receive the Priesthood) Hebrews 5:4 Show more Show less
