Hi I'm Jonathan

I'm currently sharing the gospel in Jamaica. I'm a twin. I love theatre, science, and math. I love to eat sushi and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently going to school at Utah State University in Logan, UT. I just finished my first year studying Mechanical Engineering. I have a passion for learning and strive to discover more about the world, especially through math and science. I have a passion for the Theatre arts. I love acting and also watching others act. I was born with a best friend, my identical twin brother, and he's been my best friend ever since. For my hobbies, I love to paint portraits of people. If anything is going on in the big outdoors, I'm game. Camping, hiking, fishing, swimming, boating. You name it, and I'm in. I also enjoy playing sports like soccer, tennis, golf, etc. I also love snow. I've grown up in it and I've learned to love it so much! Sledding, skiing, snowball fights, include some of the things I love to do in the snow.

Why I am a Mormon

To tell you the truth, I was born and raised in the gospel. Plus, living in Utah, I've always been surrounded by other members of my faith. So in some ways, it's been easy to live the gospel. But the real reason why I follow the gospel of Jesus Christ is because I know how much my Savior loves me and that I am a child of God. It is also wonderful to have a plan and to know where I come from, why I'm here, and where I am going. This knowledge has blessed me so much in my life and has given me so much comfort and peace. I've learned to love this gospel so much, that it has become a part of my life. I live it because I love it. I love the feeling of peace and joy from following the teachings of the Savior and the councils of the prophets and the latter day prophet, Thomas S. Monson. I know this church is true because as I live it, I grow to love the numerous blessings that come from it.

How I live my faith

Right now, I currently have the amazing opportunity to go to Kingston, Jamaica and share my beliefs with the people there. I'm so excited for this wonderful time in my life to tell people about my faith. At home right now, I just do my best to live how the Savior and our Heavenly Father have asked us to live. I try to find ways to serve as much as I can and to hopefully make a difference for the people around me. I'm really doing any big projects right now. I just look for little things to do to brighten someone's day. Even a smile can be a service to someone. Jesus was the perfect example of charity and service and since we are told to be like him, why not serve as much as I can.
