Hi I'm Kimberly

I'm a convert to the Church and a stay at home mom/housewife of a dedicated worthy, husband and 8 beautiful children.

About Me

Convert to the Church, baptized when I was 15 in 1987. I grew up in Florida. I love to cook, sing and love music of all kinds, love to read historical fiction books, blog, organize events to bring family closer together. I'm a stay at home housewife and mom. I love to have a clean organized home and yard. I love to teach and inspire. My love for my country is strong, the 4th of July is my favorite holiday.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because when the missionaries taught me God's plan I was no longer lost, someone did love me and care about me. I was taught the plan, the purpose of being here. Because of it, It gave my life purpose. I know who I am, why I'm here and what I'm to do while I'm here and that this life isn't the beginning or the end of anything, I know this life to be a gift and that someone who loves me has created a way for me to improve and progress for something more. I know that because of the plan, when I die, it's not the end. I only move on to the next step to becoming like my Heavenly Father. It has made me realize my true potential. Everything good that has come of my life; my husband, my children, and foremost my relationship with my Heavenly Parents and Jesus Christ, my knowledge is full and it has brought me true happiness. I couldn't imagine going through life today without the constant companionship and guidance and peace that the gospel brings me. Not only do I have my own family, parents, husband and children but, I have a whole community of Saints that I claim as my family in every sense. We look after each other and love as God would have us do. My greatest hope is that the world will be full of God's love. This happens as we as individuals, families, communities love one another like God loves us, look after each other and live as God has taught us. I know this with all my heart. This is why I'm a Mormon. The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by first making sure I am doing the things God has asked me to do. I try to be obedient and a good example, to have compassion and love for all people. I have a great love for the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants. I try read and search in them mostly everyday. I look forward to talking to my Heavenly Father in the form of prayer. I know He hears me and answers my prayers. I do family history, I love the mystery. I feel like a detective when I'm doing family history. It is a lot of fun especially when I can do their temple work. I try to lead my family by example. We have daily scriptures study and prayer together and we have weekly family night with spiritual instruction, we serve in our community, are good citizens and we attend church. I like to think I live my faith with modesty as well. Our bodies are a gift and to be treasured and taken care of. When I treat my body correctly I honor God and I'm better for it too. I serve in my church by teaching women of my age to be spiritually prepared for when God comes again. I know that He will come again and I will be ready. I love my Father for these experiences to live and to learn to become as He is. We learn how through Jesus Christ, he is our example and our Savior who made it possible to return to where we once lived. All experiences we have help us shape our character and make us who we should be. They polish us and refine us as long as we walk by faith.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

One way to know if Mormonism is true is to put it to the test. As you sincerely pray and study the word of God, you will feel a desire to do the things that will please God. When you are obedient to the things you learn either from missionaries or from your own study of scriptures you will feel happy. It's hard to hide the sweet feelings that come from the Holy Ghost that fills your heart and body. Show more Show less
