Hi I'm Kaili

I'm a Mormon. I was born in Provo, UT, and grew up in Orem. I love learning and living this true Church!

About Me

I am a Utah native and outdoor enthusiast! Time is best spent camping, fishing, hiking, backpacking, skiing, and biking, preferably with my family! I grew up with a loving family. Our favorite family activities were watching science fiction TV shows, having reading marathons, listening to loud music during Saturday cleanings, making homemade pizza, and playing games. Growing up in neighborhood style areas, I would hang out with neighbor friends all day after school and throughout the summer. I was almost never found at home! My interests are widely ranged: botany, basketball, tennis, singing, family history, cooking, debating, the Chinese culture and language, astronomy, and everything outdoors. In other words, I love life and love trying new things! I attended one year of college at Utah Valley University and plan to further receive a bachelor's in Biology. I want to become a wildlife conservationist. I love learning and making a difference in the world! Currently, I am heading on to serve a full-time mission. I will serving in Busan, South Korea! This means I get to learn Korean and to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

I am blessed of God to be a Mormon. I was born into a Mormon family and a free country which makes me more inclined to follow this faith. However, I have been confirmed the truth of this church. I know God restored the church Jesus Christ organized (when he was on the earth) through His prophet Joseph Smith. I am converted by the fruits. As I follow the commandments, I find peace and happiness! This means what I am doing is good. I pray and receive answers. The Book of Mormon gives me answers and guidance and motivation in my life. I follow the standards because I know they are true. The gospel of Jesus Christ blesses me because I can be forgiven of my sins through repentance, lets me live with Heavenly Father and my family again, and gives me peace and knowledge in this life. I would not choose to miss out on the blessings that I receive by being a member of God's restored church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by showing others love by service, sharing what I believe, and help my ancestors. First, I find opportunities to serve in whatever capacity I can. I have taken callings in the church (non-paid) such as leading in Young Women's, organizing events for youth activities, and participating in Devotional setup (chairs and programs). Outside of the church, I tutor fellow students in math and science. Everyday, I try to serve others in little ways. Second, during college, I joined an Interfaith Committee where we organize events between faiths to get to know each other and develop interreligeous understanding and respect. The best event we helped put on was building and dedicating a Reflection Center for Muslim prayer services. The Interfaith Committee provided opportunities for me to share what I believe and learn about other religions. I also will get to share my faith as I serve a full-time mission, where I will learn to share Heavenly Fathers love for His children. Lastly, I live my faith by extending the blessings of the temple to my deceased ancestors through family history. First, I learn about them, then compile enough information on their life to take their name to the temple and perform vicarious ordinances (like baptism) for them. This means my ancestors will have the opportunity to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Yes! We search for children of God who are searching for answers to questions. Missionaries share a message of hope that Jesus Christ lives and that through him we may live again! We share messages that families can live together forever, that God has ordained prophets on the earth today, and that He has restored a church after it had been lost. We share the love of our Heavenly Father. Mormon missionaries are unique in that we try our best to teach by the Holy Spirit, being able to discern the needs and thoughts of those we teach. We invite others come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end.
