Hi I'm Joshua Noyce

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am an 19 year old student who wants to go into graphic design. However for two years I have decided to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints however until I found Quinn "ThatSnazzyiPhoneGuy" http://www.mormon.org/me/DF60/QuinnNelson on YouTube I was afraid of sharing the gospel. I had shared the gospel with some of my friends but I didn't really follow up and I probably didn't do a very good job. However when I found of Quinn and how he was going to go on a mission I knew that I would have to get over my fear of talking with people. I have always wanted to serve a mission, however like I said I did not like to talk to people and would have to get over that in order to serve an effective mission. In the MTC I learned how to become that great teacher that I thought a missionary should be. While most of that "great" in a teacher will come from the Lord I will have to work for it. But that is what I like about the Gospel of Jesus of Christ. It allows me to do things that I normally would not be able to do if I wasn't a member.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon simply because it is easier than not. I know that this Church is true and that through Jesus Christ all things are possible. By being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints I can see the help that the Lord has given me throughout my life. I believe that the religion that you affiliate with needs to be one that brings peace, joy, and happiness to your life. I know that although we sometimes feel like our religion has to many restrictions if we just take a step back and look at the end we can see that these things are only for our benefit. Another reason why I am a Mormon is because I love the Book of Mormon. Now while you don't have to be a Mormon to love the Book of Mormon the knowledge that I have gained from being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has definitely helped me understand the Book of Mormon better.

How I live my faith

As of right now I am a full time Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I spend every day, every week, every month serving the Jesus Christ and proclaiming his gospel. I wake up at 6:30 every morning and then spend an hour getting ready for the day. I then spend two hours studying the gospel by myself and with my companion. I then study my mission language (Mandarin Chinese) for an hour before going out and sharing the gospel. Sharing the gospel has got to be the greatest blessing that I have ever had. By sharing the gospel I have been able to serve others which is the best blessing that I could ever have. It is also helping me overcome my fear with talking with people. While talking to others was and is not easy for me I have seen improvement in my ability to talk to others.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Joshua Noyce
The Book of Mormon was written by several anciet prophets. Prophets like Nephi, Jacob, Alma, Helaman, Mormon, Ether, and Moroni. Mormom Compliled most of the Book of Mormom. He put in every book except the last too when his son, Moroni, finished it. When Moroni was done he burried it in the ground. Then in 1823 a young boy named Joseph Smith recieved a vision from the same Moroni who burried it in the gound. Then four years later he translated it. Then in 1830 it was published as The Book of Mormon. Show more Show less

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Joshua Noyce
While we have always had the Bible when the apostles died we lost the authority of the Priesthood. That is why we needed a restoration, in order to get the priesthood on the earth again. We need the authority of the priesthood in order to do essential things such as baptism, partaking of the sacrament, and being eternally sealed with our spouse. Show more Show less
