Hi I'm Alex!

I'm a ginger with a passion for the color green. I love to travel and be outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student and I love to hike and be outdoors. I love looking for adventure, but I am all for a night in with a bowl of popcorn too. I am also pretty enthused with traveling, trying new things, the color green, and summer rainstorms. I'm really indecisive about everything, especially when it comes to knowing what I want to do as a career. I'm currently a biology major thinking about getting into physical therapy, but everyday I'm coming up with new ideas and schemes. I've explored everything from teaching to owning my own business. However there is one career plan that I am set on and that is being a wife and a mother. I cannot wait for the day when I can get into that line of business. Family is incredibly important to me and I love spending time with mine. Did I mention that I am a Mormon?! I love this gospel and I feel so incredibly blessed for all that my Father in Heaven has blessed me with. I am preparing to serve a full-time mission and am so excited to start this new adventure in my life, giving my all to serving the Lord and his children.

Why I am a Mormon

Knowing that this is the true church didn't come easy for me. Growing up in Utah and being surrounded by those of the LDS faith I often found myself trying to almost disprove what they believed. It wasn't until I had some very dear friends take the time to answer my questions without judgement and with the utmost sincerity that I knew I had to find out for myself what I truly believed. I continued to ask questions, I prayed to Heavenly Father, I pondered, and I read my scriptures. It didn't all come at once and there were moments when I thought about turning back, but it did come "line upon line, precept upon precept." I know now that the way my testimony came was individual for me. It built upon itself until it reached the point where there was no denying it's presence. I know that God is my Heavenly Father and that He loves me, as He loves all of His children. I know that Christ died for us, that He felt our every sorrow, anguish, and pain so that we can repent to be clean again and not only live with Him and God eternally, but our families as well. I know Jospeh Smith was a true prophet, that he was called of God to restore the gospel to this Earth and help bring about the Book of Mormon. God answers every one of our prayers, I know that and I know that if you strive to follow and keep His commandments, He will bless you. I love this gospel. I love the knowledge and the purpose that it brings to my life and I encourage you discover for yourself its truthfulness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying everyday to follow Christ's loving example, serving those around me, and standing as an example myself. I pray to my Heavenly Father daily and seek comfort in reading my scriptures. I love attending church on Sunday and having the opportunity to not only partake of the Sacrament, but to feel uplifted by the testimonies, talks, and lessons given by members of my same faith. Every month I have the opportunity to meet with girls from my congregation, checkup on them, and serve them in anyway that they need. I am currently preparing to serve as a full time missionary in the Russia Vladivostok mission leaving later this fall. I could not be more excited for the opportunity I have to be in the service of Heavenly Father and to invite His children to come unto Christ.
