Hi I'm Jackson

I grew up in Southern California. I Have 5 brothers. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm the second oldest brother out of six. I love to work out, being physically fit is one of my favorite things. I love music, all types. I'm going on a mission to Melbourne, Australia.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because at a spiritual summer camp type thing we had a lesson about Heavenly Father. The lady giving the lesson was my mothers visiting teacher, so i knew i had to listen. She offered us two questions to ask the first being, "Heavenly Father are you there?" the second being, "Heavenly Father do you love me?" I'll admit, i was probably the first to think it was crazy and a waste of time. I go back to my cabin to just wait out the allotted time period. At about that time one of the leaders came into the cabin and asked if i was going to actually do it, i said sure why not to avoid conflict. I found a spot outside where nobody else was and decided i might as well try it out. I wrote the first question down, thought about it and prayed. For the first couple minutes i thought it was silly and that i was wasting my time. After about ten minutes or so i decided i'd try one last time, and if i didn't get an answer He didn't exist. I prayed harder than i ever had before. The answer that i got was undeniable, it pierced through my brain like a bullet. Not loud, or obnoxious, but simple and quiet. "Yes." I knew Heavenly Father was there, but i still hadn't gotten an answer for if He loved me. It didn't take more than a second for me to think of my family and how loved i am by them. Heavenly Father is there, and He does love us. This is why i'm a Mormon, not because it's fun, or because it's cool, but because i know that there is a God, and that He does love us.

How I live my faith

I am the Stake youth co-chair for my stake, it's kind of like being on ASB. I help plan, prepare, and perform all of the youth activities (ages 12-18). I've had a lot of fun doing it, but i've also learned a lot too.
