Hi I'm Layne A. Harper

I grew up in a farming community in Idaho. I am currently serving a mission in the Concepcion South, Chile Mission.

About Me

I was born and raised in the LDS church, it was quite interesting being in a primarily LDS community. However, as I went to school accross the country in New York I learned that I had to rely on my own testimony of Christ and the Church. Being on my own helped me find good friends and strengthen my personal desire to be a better person. I am by no means perfect, I have made plenty of mistakes but I know through Christ´s atonement we can become clean, find personal peace, and return to my Father in Heaven and be with my family forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the way of life and peace I feel makes me truly happy. I have had many opprotunities to be whatever I want and to do whatever I want, but I have learned that I am truly happy when I live the gospel, and follow the principles of Christ. It doesn´t mean things are easy and I still have my doubts but the Lord helps me through my trials and I know as long as I am faithful he will help me find happiness. I love my family and I treasure the fact that I can have them for eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by personally committing myself to the Church. My immediate committment is being an LDS missionary and serving the Lord and the people in Chile.
