Hi I'm Colton

I'm an avid cereal eater. I have a down syndrome sister, I love most music (not country) , and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really love listening to music. I could spend hours on my bed shuffling my ipod or watching netflix. I'm really laid back. Nobody appreciates a good nap more than I do. However I actually do have a passion and that's news. I follow the news religiously. I spend usually at least an hour a day checking in on what's going on with the news. I usually do it at the same time that I work out by listening to news podcasts. Two birds one stone. I can't get enough Spongebob. Seriously. I'm the 2nd oldest of a family with 5 kids. My youngest sister has downs syndrome and she's awesome. Before I came on my mission I did a year of college up at BYU-Idaho. I always find ways to have a good time, but when I need to I'll be the hardest worker you've ever seen. And I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

There's nothing and nobody that I love more than my Heavenly Father. I have a lot of other passions which come and go, but the love my Heavenly Father has for me is eternal. God never changes. Because I know this, I know that unless I change, I can and always will continue to love my Father in Heaven. And what better way to serve Him then by serving in His church.

How I live my faith

Even though I'm only 19 I've held a lot of positions in the church. I've been a church greeter, and a family history researcher, and a church meeting coordinator. For a short time I was even a substitute teacher for the younger children's Sunday school classes. I was a home-teacher, and now I'm serving as a full time Missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

What is being a Mormon like?

Official Church Answer One of the greatest reasons for being here on earth is to "have joy" (2 Nephi 2:25). Personal prayer, scripture study, and attending church helps us better understand that the best way to find joy and happiness in this life is to know about Our Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness, the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to strive to keep God's "law" (Proverbs 29:18). Families are an essential part of God's Plan and much of how we live focuses on our families. We want to share the happiness we enjoy with everyone we can through service, missionary work, and contributing to society." It's awesome. I don't know life without it so i have nothing to compare it to, but I love it. Show more Show less
