Hi I'm Savannah

I am from Utah. I like playing in the snow, watching sports, and dancing in public. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Soon I will be serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in San Pedro Sula Honduras. I couldn't be more excited to get to know the people in Honduras. I love spending time with my family and playing with my nephews. I enjoy playing softball, volleyball, and golf. I was even on the Golf Team in high school. I am currently going to college and majoring in Public Relations. I think being able to learn something new is one of the most wonderful things we can do in this world, whether it is learning math or how to whistle, or getting to know someone new. I especially love learning new things about the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes sense to me. It makes sense that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me. It makes sense that families can be together forever. It makes the God has a prophet on the earth today that He has instructed to direct His children. I know that my Heavenly Father knows me and that He loves me. I know that He is an active part in my life. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I've read it many times and I learn more from it every time I read it. Simply put, I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. I love the support that I get from the members of the Church around me. I love the comfort I feel when I think about how God has a plan for me. I feel joy when I go to the Temple. I love knowing that Christ loved me enough to Atone for my sins, so that I can have the opportunity to live with my Heavenly Father once again. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a beautiful thing and I grateful that I am blessed to have it in my life.

How I live my faith

The most simple way I live my faith is to try and be kind to people. I smile at people. I clean the kitchen for my mom. I start a conversation with the person at church who looks like they're having a bad day. I help my neighbor clean her windows. The thing I like to remember is that we are children of God. He loves every single one of us, so shouldn't I try to love everyone too? There is always going to be a person at work or in class that gets on my nerves, but I try to remember that they are a child of God and that even if I don't want to be their best friend I can still be nice to them. Everyone deserves that. I can't wait to get to Honduras soon and meet the people there. I am so excited to get to know them and share the gospel with them. I am so excited to spend a year and a half thinking completely of other people and not about myself. I want people to feel the love that Christ has for them.
