Hi I'm Ethan

I am twenty-one years old. I love singing, academics, and the outdoors; and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a twenty-one year old BYU student. My major is Neuroscience and I'm minoring in International Development. I have four brothers and one sister. I have lived in Arizona, Minnesota, Idaho, Seattle, and am currently living in Utah. I love academics, the outdoors, and music. I especially enjoy fly-fishing, horseback riding, biology, history, and singing. I plan to attend medical school and become a physician.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt the redeeming power of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and because I know that the teachings, principles, and organization of the church are correct. I have felt the power of the Book of Mormon and know by the power of the Holy Ghost that it is true. Because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that was restored to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith I know who God is, I know why I'm here, and I know where I'm going. Why am I a Mormon? Because it's right and it beings me joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to keep the covenants, or promises, that I've made with God. I try to do good and serve other people, pray and study the scriptures daily, go to church every week, and keep God's commandments. I've found there is no surer way to happiness than honestly trying to live my faith.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

We revere Joseph as a prophet, but we worship God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. No one can take their place, and none ever will. Show more Show less

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Temples are places where members of the Church go to feel the presence of Heavenly Father. In the temple we make sacred covenants with God, and seek answers to questions we have through prayer. We also preform sacred ordinances for our deceased family members so that we can be with them forever in the presence of Heavenly Father. The ordinances and covenants of the temple are eternal and allow us to be with the ones we love forever. Marriage and families are not "till death do us part." They are eternal. Show more Show less
