Hi I'm McKenna

I'm from Utah, I love music, I love cooking and I love having a project to work on. Right now I'm a missionary.. and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey I'm McKenna :) Right now I'm taking a few semesters off school to serve as a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I've been called to the Charlotte North Carolina mission! I love it! I love all kinds of music and the power it can have in our lives. I think music can bring a spirit of comfort, peace, love and joy into our hearts. I think it's very important to always be kind and considerate of other people, no matter what your differences might be. I think you should always stand up for what you believe in and try to be the best version of yourself that you can be. I think it's important to have a positive outlook on life and to work with what you have. My favorite saying goes like this, "You can no more blame your circumstances for your character than you can the mirror for your looks". It's important to make the best out of every situation and to make yourself into who you want to be :) I believe that anything is possible through faith and hard work. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the restored gospel. It is the same church that Christ organized on the earth, with all of the proper authority restored to us through the priesthood. I know this gospel is true, and it brings comfort and overwhelming peace and happiness. I know that Heavenly Father listens to my prayers intently, and truly cares and loves me beyond measure. I know he loves every single one of his children like this, and wants for them to return to live with him. I'm a mormon because I know that these things are true. I know Christ is our savior, and that he atoned for our sins, and that through his sacrifice we can be made clean and live with our Father in Heaven again. I'm grateful for the pure and simple truth of the gospel. I know that I received the gift of the Holy Ghost when I was baptized and confirmed, and the holy ghost helps me every day. The spirit can and will communicate with you as it is your constant companion. That is an amazing blessing we are given access to by being baptized and confirmed and living worthily to keep the spirit with us at all times. My life is blessed because I except the truth of the gospel and strive to live it every day. It makes me a better person in every way and nothing else can bring the true peace that the gospel brings. I know this is true because the spirit testifies it to me. The spirit will testify the truth of this message to anyone who is willing to hear it. James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." I know that if you inquire of the Lord the truthfulness of this gospel, he will answer and testify unto you that this is his restored church upon the Earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to Church on sundays, paying tithing, reading my scriptures, praying often to my father in heaven and abiding by the laws and commandments we've been given. But more than that, I live my faith by trying to be like Christ. I try to act the way Christ would, treating others the way he would. I try to be an example to others so that they might see the peace and goodness that the gospel brings to your life. As I try to become like Christ I become a better person. It makes me more considerate and kinder to other people. It reminds me to be forgiving and loving and to serve. By serving others you can bring amazing happiness to your life. Nothing helps me feel better than helping someone else. Christ lead by example and I try to follow him. By doing the things he would have me do, my life is blessed. Even though sometimes it's hard to stand up for something that I know is right, it's always, always worth it. I live my faith by striving to do what I know is right.
