Hi I'm Kit Lamb

I'm the mother of six who grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. I've been married for 43 years,

About Me

I have been a rare stay-at-home mom raising six kids but I have been actively involved in my community in politics, schools. scouting, historical preservation, and community service.

Why I am a Mormon

My first time to read the Book of Mormon was when I was 14. I was so amazed at the feeling I had as I read it. When I prayed to know if what I was reading was true, I received an assurance that it was. That assurance has occurred many times since and in increasing intensity. The truths that I have learned have given me so much peace and a wonderful love for people. My marriage in the Mesa Temple opened a new world to me that expanded my view of life and gave me purpose and direction. I know my Savior lives and that my Heavenly Father loves his children including me. When I follow the example of my Savior I experience a joy that is beyond language.

How I live my faith

My life has been spent for the most part with youth. I have been in leadership and teaching positions over kids from the age of 3 to the age of 18 for nearly 30 years. My memories of the relationships that have occurred are sweet and precious. I smile when I think of cracking a coconut with 3-year-olds and performing skits with teenagers. Their energy infused me with energy. Their curiosity led me to study and expand my knowledge. I also had the opportunity of working with a women's organization for several years and I learned to appreciate women and their various talents and needs.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Kit Lamb
We believe that the Bible was given by God to ancient prophets for the temporal and spiritual benefit of the children of God. It is a collection of holy words for our learning but it has been subjected to some errors in translation, Show more Show less
