Hi I'm Wendee

I grew up in Holladay, Utah. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom, grandmother and retired school teacher. Now that I am retired, I love to spend time gardening, scrapbooking (digitally now) and being with my grandchildren. I also enjoy all kinds of music and playing the piano. My husband and I enjoy bike rides together and watching college football. We also spend much time watching many of our grandchildren play various sports. I do a lot of traveling (my husband loves to travel) and we have been to almost all regions of the earth. I love to read a good book on a cold wintry night. I also enjoy eating out!!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I have an unwavering faith in my Savior, Jesus Christ. His atoning sacrifice for me is a cornerstone of who I am and how I try to live my life. To emulate his teachings and beliefs is something I strive to do (although I fall short and am very grateful that I can renew my covenants each Sunday by taking the Sacrament). I am grateful that I have been able to make covenants in the Temple and I hold these covenants to be sacred. Although there are many things I do not understand yet, I live by faith, knowing that all questions will be answered at some future date. I am grateful to be a daughter of a Heavenly Father who loves me. I am grateful to be on the earth at this time and pray each day that I can be a worthy servant to those I have stewardship over. I am grateful for my personal testimony of the Savior and of living prophets, who are placed here to guide and help us as we travel through this earthly existence. I look forward to serving until my time here is over and hope to return back to the presence of my Savior and my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

When my children were small, I spent time helping in their classrooms, and working with various youth groups in my church. I have always been drawn to teenagers and interacting with them on religious and social levels. Now that I am older, I have given several years to teaching children who are turning 8 and getting ready to be baptized. I care about my neighbors and those who live in my community by offering help and support when they have special needs and concerns. It is so nice to live in an area where people share common values and desires and I have enjoyed being a visiting teacher for over 30 years.
