Hi I'm Austin

I love to play sports of all kinds, ride snowmobiles and dirt bikes, goof off with my dogs and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am an active guy love the outdoors which is great being from Idaho I get to go into the wilderness often. I also love to play any sport especially soccer though. I ride snowmobiles, motorbikes, ATVs and jet skis. I just finished my first year at Utah State University it was kind of tough but I liked it and hope to graduate with a degree in aerospace engineering in a few years after I get back form my mission. I am currently serving a mission in the Macon, Georgia Mission. I love this gospel and couldn't live without it blesses me everyday.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have come to know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I have figured this out over my whole life and everyday I feel more and more sure as I spend more time learning and living the gospel. At times in my life I have strayed from the teaching that I had been taught. Despite the fun I was having I found that while I was living the gospel principles I was a happier person. This is one of the big reasons why I am a Mormon, it took time but i know that this is were Heavenly Father wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to live my life in a way that i know would make my Heavenly Father proud. To do this I strive to keep the commandments he has given me, follow the example his only begotten son set while he was on the earth. It isn't always easy to live with faith but I trust that as I go through life I will be tried and tested but it is for the best because my Heavenly Father is in control. I am currently serving a mission so that I can teach others about how faith can truly bless their lives even in the hard times.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints worships Joseph Smith. We worship our Father in Heaven and his son Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith was a great man who was called by God to do a great work and to be a prophet to restore truth to the earth but he was never and is not worshiped. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Although members are not required to serve missions, it has been one of the greatest opportunities of my life to be able to serve the Lord on a mission. Young Men and Women are strongly encourages to serve missions to show the Lord they are willing to help others and to serve the Lord. Show more Show less

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

We believe that as Jesus Christ taught in John chapter 3 we must all be born again to enter into the kingdom of god. Baptism is a symbol of death of an old life and being born again into a new better life therefore being born again. It is a wonderful opportunity to draw closer to the Savior and feel his love.
