Hi I'm Chase Campbell

I grew up in the church. I love theatre and the performing arts. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the theatre and the performing arts. I'm planning on majoring in musical theatre and Computer Science after my mission is over. I ride and train horses for fun. I've been in the church my whole life and I love it. I'm an avid reader of fiction, fantasy, sci-fi, and anything else that has things out of the ordinary. I like to play the guitar and would like to learn how to play the piano. I like to run and to stay in shape however I can. I also love computer games although they can be addictive so I try to limit how much I play them. I love to hang out with my family and friends and to have a good time.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of my life. Both of my parents were members and so I joined by default. Now, that may not sound fair because I didn't get a chance to choose for myself if I wanted to be in this church or not, right? Well, for starters when I look at this church it has done a lot of things for other people. On top of that for myself I had a chance to read from the Book of Mormon and to pray about the Book of Mormon and about the church itself to know if it is true or not and I got an answer from God that this church was true. In the end it came down to me making the decision. I'm a Mormon cause I have seen how it changes people and how it has changed and affected me for the better.I also received an answer for God through reading and praying. I know this to be true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example to everyone around me. Jesus Christ was an example to everyone and he set the standards that we must follow and live up to. As I try to follow and be like Jesus Christ I try to be the best example that I can for the people around me. Through my experience I have found that being an example and living up to my standards can have a big influence on the people around me. By going through day to day life without swearing, partaking in bad substances, or things that are not morally right has really had an affect on the people around me. During the school year, I went to a theatre performance of Romeo and Juliet that was after school. As we were about halfway through the first portion of the play the performance took a very vulgar and not moral twist with one of the characters. Hoping it would stop quickly I stayed, but it didn't and so I stood up and left the theatre for the rest of the performance until it was done. After the play was over some of the kids in my class came up and asked why I left and I told them, but two or three of my classmates came up to me after I told them that and they said that they wanted to be like me and that I was an example to them. That really showed me how much people are watching me and how much an affect I can have on people. I also do it in my ward. I try to be an example to the younger kids and try to help them out whenever I can be of help to them in there life because life can get really crazy sometimes and if I can pass on some tips then I'm more than willing. On top of all of this I'm going on a mission to the Calgary Canada Mission. I leave August 14 and I'm so excited to get out there and spread the gospel.
