Hi I'm David Mack

Born in New Jersey. Got to Texas as fast as I could (when I was 2 yrs. old). I'm a mechanical engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I joined the LDS Church when I was 14 years old. I had been going to Scouts at the Church since I was 11. One day, a friend that was my same age invited me to go to Church and I went. I was then invited to go to early morning seminary at 6:30 in the morning (where missionaries had to travel about an hour to come and talk to me that early. Poor guys had to wake up at 4 or something). It took me a couple of months of convincing, but through reading the scriptures and praying, I decided that joining the Church was the right thing to do and that Heavenly Father would be proud of me! I've never looked back since that day. I served a mission in Paraguay. I've found Scouting (which is heavily supported by the Church) is the Lord's program! I'm currently learning how to be a Scouting unit commissioner! I have the support of my lovely wife who is also a member of the Church! I met her through today's very effective dating methods - online LDS dating websites. We have 5 wonderful children who have brought us great joy! I love family, soccer, and food!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it's true. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it. I have felt the Spirit in my heart and it's confirmation of the truthfulness of the Gospel. I have seen the blessings in my life and the lives of many others that come from living the Gospel. I want to share the happiness that I feel with others and serve the Lord and others all of my days! The Church supports Scouting! The Lord's program! It was my Scouting leaders who were my father figures and blessed my life by helping me to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout! I want to live righteously and teach my kids the wisdom in living that way! I want them to see others smile as we spread love and service everywhere that we go!

How I live my faith

Talk about it everyday! I share it on social media because it is engrained in who I am. I served a mission for the Church in Paraguay! This has blessed me to learn how to love and serve others! I pray that my children can be righteous and serve missions as well! One way that I try to serve my kids is to be involved and excited right along with them in the Scouting program for that is what blessed my life so much! I currently serve as a Scouting Unit Commissioner and am enjoying seeing the Scouting program from a different angle! I've also helped on assistant levels with the Boy Scouting program as well as the Cub Scouting program.
