Hi I'm Maddie

I love to be in the service of the Lord. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 20 years old. I have 4 siblings, 3 brothers and 1 sister. I love my family more than anything, they are really what keeps me going when nothing else does. I love sports. My favorite sport to play is softball, but I love going to any live sports games. Boating is my all-time favorite thing to do, including wakeboarding, tubing, or just driving around. I love getting to know different people, and I love laughing a lot.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this faith and my parents and church leaders all taught me everything I know about the church. I have always known it is true, even though I haven't been perfect in everything that I do. As a young girl, the only thing I ever knew was how to live righteously and though I often made mistakes, I knew that I could become better through the atonement of Jesus Christ. He is the Savior of the world and through his sacrifice we can all repent of our sins and live with Him again. I don't have a doubt in my mind that what is taught in my church is true. I have read the Book of Mormon and asked my Father in Heaven if it is true and have felt his warm spirit confirm that it is. I'm so grateful for the prophet of our church and that we are blessed with modern revelation. When I read my scriptures, pray, and obey the Lord's council consistently every day I feel better about myself and feel so much joy in my life that I know I could never turn away from this church. Teaching, serving, and bringing people closer to Christ brings me so much joy. I love my Savior.

How I live my faith

I have recently returned from serving a full-time mission in the Oregon Portland Mission, and choosing to serve is the greatest decision I have ever made. I had the most incredible experiences, and I thought about God and Jesus Christ every single day for 18 months. I taught, learned, worked, spent all my time in the service of God, helping bring souls to Christ. Living a life for other people is what brings true joy. Learning to love everyone around us can help in the hardest of times to look outward. I study the scriptures and pray daily. I take every moment I have to become better and happier, because that is really where He wants us to be. I live my faith by living my life. I live my life the best that I can, and when I fall short and make mistakes Jesus Christ is there to lift and bless me and take me higher than I was before.
