Hi I'm Marc Doonan

Hi, I grew up in Granby Québec Canada. I was in business and was also a Clown and Magician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a 20 year old daughter. We aren't as close as I would like. I have a spouse and we share a deep love and understanding for each other. She's still Catholic but we pray together often. Being in business and having experiece in the public taught me the importance of being earnest. That's why I am blessed today.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Holy Spirit guided me to this Church. At a time when I needed answers to some very important life questions about work, finances and survival, I prayed for several days. On a Tuesday morning the Holy Spirit guided me to a Church in Lasalle Montreal near where I lived. I thought no one would be there. But the Spirit was strong so I rang the doorbell. Someone answered. And I met Elder Jean and Elder Kimball, missionaries for the Church. While we talked I felt the truth was being said and a new beginning was opening up to me. Hope for the futur. It took a long time for me to become a member but I never lost that feeling I had that day, The felling that finally after all these years, I was finally home.

How I live my faith

Everyday I start with a prayer, then I read the Bible or the book of Mormon. Then I am ready to face the day. Every month I visit 2-3 people in my Church to see how they are doing. If they need food we go to the grocery and I buy it for them. If they need to talk then I listen, and if they want to laugh then I know they are ok. I do this because when I needed food, someone to talk to and sometimes just to change my mind someone from Church always came whether I asked or not but always with my permission. Sunday is the Day I have no more problems, no worries and no fuss. I go to Church and spend several hours with some of the best people on earth.
