Hi I'm Cally

I was born in England. I love music. I love tacos. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a musician. I love writing songs and playing the guitar and singing! Family is the most important thing to me and I love to spend time with them, I can't wait for the day to have a family of my own. I'm serving a mission in the Germany Frankfurt Mission from May (2016) and will return November (2017). It's the greatest thing in the word to experience a different culture and share what I know to be true with the people there! I love spending time with my friends and am a very bubbly, loud and outgoing person! I love root beer and tacos, many of my American friends say I was born in the wrong place, but I love being from England. I love that many of my friends and family share my same believes and standards as me. I can go to them for spiritual advice and also just to have a great laugh The gospel is my life and I always try to do what I can to strive to be like Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I don't know where my life would be without the gospel in it. I'm a massive avengers fan and I love reading fantasy novels!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who where already members and i have grown up in the church. Now that doesn't mean i have never thought about what it would be like not being in the church. I decided that i wouldn't like my life out of the church. My religion is my guideline to my life, without it, i wouldn't know what to do. I know that what i have been taught while in this church is all true. I have gained a testimony from lessons or conventions I've been to and the more i know the stronger my testimony gets. People sometimes ask me how I'm so sure it's true. They ask me "What if you're wrong?" and "If you were wrong would you regret being a Mormon?" I tell them, I just know. I have felt it in me, and i wouldn't second guess it. And i wouldn't regret it, because i still think (true or not), it's a good way to have lived my life.

How I live my faith

One good thing thing about liking music so much is that i can still enjoy it at church. The difference between songs on the radio and songs at church is that, at church you feel such strong spirit when listening to it or singing it. Feeling the spirit is what tells me it's true. People think that Mormons are all so perfect and good but that's not true. Yes, we strive to be perfect but, everyone makes mistakes and we have an opportunity to repent and be forgive. I attend institute and YSA which is a wonderful programme for 18-30 years starting with a brilliant lesson then an activity and McDonald's! I love it there as you make so many friends and bond spiritually too! It's great fun!
