Hi I'm Lindsay Sanders

I'm from Arizona, I lived in Japan, I love to eat, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am an Arizona girl! I love living in the desert! I recently returned home from serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Japan. Sushi and okonomiyaki are my new favorite foods! One thing that drives my life is service- it's the way we show love. I'm a psych major at college and my dream is to help people be happier. I am a Mormon, and I LOVE it!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family, but I choose to continue following the teachings of this Church because it is the only way I have found true happiness. Without the gospel, I would have no way to be with my family forever, no way to feel freed from my guilt, and no way to live with God again. Through the Book of Mormon, I have had many powerful experiences that have helped me to know that its words are true. I know that this is Christ's church restored to the earth. I am so thankful to know that God is real and that He knows me personally. I am a Mormon because of the peace the Gospel has brought me and the comfort I feel from the Holy Ghost. More than anything, I am thankful that someday I can live with Heavenly Father and my family for eternity.

How I live my faith

I feel like the most important part about religion is that it teaches you the way you should treat people. Christ taught us to love one another. I try to be kind and lift up every person I meet! Joy in contagious! Everyone deserves to be treated kindly! I love doing volunteer work and serving my community. When I was living in Japan, I had many opportunities to serve. I participated in church groups who fed the homeless, sang at hospitals, played with children, helped clean houses, repaired homes after natural disasters, and much more. The best feeling is knowing you've helped someone!
