Hi I'm Hermana Pace

I am a missionary. I am an aspiring writer and I love to learn. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been called to the Texas Dallas mission, speaking Spanish. I will be serving from August 20, 2014 to February 2016. I am very excited to preach the gospel and serve the people there. When I return home, I will begin my second year at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised as a member of this church. However, I decided a few years ago that I needed to know for myself if this church and its teachings are true. With a great deal of scripture study and prayer, I was able to find answers to the questions that I had. I was able to know a few things for certain, mainly that we are all children of our Heavenly Father. Based on this, I have gradually built up knowledge and faith concering other principles of the gospel. My faith is part of who I am. It helps me to become a better person.

How I live my faith

I am going to devote 18 months to inviting others to come unto Christ. I will be preaching, doing service projects, helping people move, etc. I have decided to be a missionary because I love the Lord and His children. The message of the Restored gospel has changed my life, and I know it can do the same for others. Because of Christ's Atonement, we are able to repent and move forward, no matter what our circumstances are. He strengthens us. That is the message that I will be sharing while on my mission.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Hermana Pace
So many things are evidence that there is a God, like a sunrise in the winter or a kind stanger. To me, it would not make sense to have such an amazing world, but no one to thank for it. When little kids sing in our Church meetings on special occasions (such as Mother's Day), they are beautiful examples of how wonderful God is. He cares about each of them, and each of us, individually. We can always find things to thank Him for. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Hermana Pace
No. We worship our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ. We greatly respect Joseph Smith, along with other prophets that we have had since then. We love them and follow their teachings and counsel. Show more Show less
