Hi I'm Heidi

I love the great outdoors. The world is my playground. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah with four older sisters and a younger brother. I sure do love my family! My passion lies in the beautiful natural creations of our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. In fact, I studied and received a Bachelor's degree in Outdoor Recreation in Parks and Tourism, also completing a minor in French. I love traveling the world, learning from different cultures, learning languages, trying new foods, and helping others along the way. Some of my hobbies include: rappelling, camping, aviation, family history, language/culture studies, fixing things with my hands, photography, flying model airplanes, and just being in the company of people who I love and who love me.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I've chosen to be an active member of this church? It's simple: truth. Through my many and varied life experiences, I have come to know for myself that this is the true church of Jesus Christ, restored in it's fullness. He is the way, there is one faith, and one baptism (Ephesians 4:5). So, what is His one way? Well, as I have studied the words of the prophets, both ancient and modern, exercised my faith in Jesus Christ, and heeded the ever so subtle and gentle promptings of the Holy Spirit, the answer is clear: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is indeed led by Christ Himself. Therefore, I will follow His ways, for He is the only through which we can return to live with the Father. Who wouldn't want that?

How I live my faith

I stay actively involved with community events, especially those associated with the church or that the church organizes. I have been involved with many city, state and nation-wide service projects, even in different states and countries. So much fun! I have been a counselor for two summers at a camp for pre-teen girls, run by the church. I have helped set out and pick up countless folding chairs for gatherings of all kinds. I have mainly been involved in positions working with those my own age, or close to. I especially love learning from those more seasoned than I am in life, many words of wisdom. I have been the recipient of great love and caring leadership as well.
